Parcel Driver (Van)

Job Type: Full time

Salary: $28 – $35 per hour

Get to know the Role:  

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated Parcel Delivery Van Driver to join the team at our Townsville Branch. 

This position plays an integral part in the safe, efficient and effective movement of freight to achieve the delivery promise that we have made to our customers. 

Success in this position is measured when DIFOT targets are met, a safe workplace is actively demonstrated and paperwork accuracy targets are met.  This is a front-line position, which requires a high level of communication, professionalism, presentation and customer service to be applied consistently every day. 

Duties: 

• Multidrop Parcel Deliveries    
• Loading/unloading of van 
• PDA scanning compliance 
• Fatigue Management 
• Vehicle compliance 
• Customer service  

Skills and Experience: 

• A current minimum C class (Auto or Manual) Open licence is essential 
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the transport industry.  
• Excellent driver history report.  
• Great local knowledge of Townsville and surrounding areas.  
• Ability to work unsupervised.  
• Experience in multi-drops is essential.
