    As our Van Driver (Postal Transport Officer) at our Moreton Bay facility in Narangba, you’ll be operating and delivering in our vans as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day.     You’ll be:

    • Required to safely perform and operate a van to perform duties such as picking up mail from Street Posting Boxes, Corporate Offices, Licensed Post Offices and Delivery Centres
    • Required to pick up mail and parcel items from our customers
    • Unload mail articles from vans and manually sorting them into small or large letters and parcels including express posts
    • Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
    • Paired up with our experienced senior drivers, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development


    About you

    • You hold a full or probationary QLD driver’s licence, with at least two years driving history and a good driving record.
    • You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical driving assessment
    • You are flexible with working additional hours if required
    • You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
    • You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less

    Training and Support

    At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes site-specific inductions and hands-on training, building employees up to full delivery capacity within six weeks. Our approach is flexible, ensuring long-term success and continuous growth.

    Are you a customer service focused delivery driver who likes to be busy?

    With no day being the same you will be responsible for providing an outstanding delivery service of household grocery items to local homes and small businesses within Ballina Fair, Lennox Head and surrounding areas. You will be working with one of Australia’s largest supermarket chains.

    About the position:
    You will be responsible for loading and checking stock, vehicle safety checks, delivery paperwork, and most importantly being a safe and reliable driver.

    • You will mainly be working independently responsible for managing a small refrigerated truck, using an electronic device for proof of delivery, with supervisors who are always available on the phone for your support.

    Our rosters cover 7 days, morning and afternoon split shifts.

    • We provide in-depth training and on-going support to our drivers to ensure you get the very best start possible.
    • You don’t need previous delivery driving experience, we just need you to have a great attitude towards safety and the ability to provide fantastic customer service.

    To be considered for this opportunity above you must be able to fulfil the below list of requirements:
