  • Green Waste Collection Driver

    Job Type: Contract/Temp

    Salary: $40 – $50 per hour

    Almighty Garden Bags is seeking a self-motivated and reliable Garden Waste Collection Driver to join our team servicing North Brisbane area and surrounds. You will be responsible for collecting green waste bins from residential and small commercial customers, helping them maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. Working outside during the Summer is hot, so must be comfortable with hard work.

    Key Benefits

    • Competitive pay: $40–$50/hr (paid per collection) + superannuation.
    • Flexible schedule: Conduct your weekly route in your own time—just complete all stops by Saturday. Average 5 days per week depending how you like to work.
    • No commute: Company truck is provided and kept at your home.
    • No truck licence needed: Only a valid manual car licence required—no HR or MR licence necessary.
    • Independence: Work autonomously with minimal supervision.
    • All green waste runs are scheduled and assigned each week.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Collect assigned garden waste bins at customer properties.
    • Drive company-provided vehicle on designated routes to pick up green waste.
    • Transport garden waste to appropriate disposal or processing sites.
    • Maintain and care for the company vehicle; conduct routine checks and basic cleaning. A mobile mechanic will visit to service the truck every 4 months.
    • Communicate professionally with customers as needed.
    • Complete all assigned collections each week by Saturday evening.
    • Follow all traffic and workplace safety regulations.
    • Report any issues, incidents, or equipment faults promptly.
    • Replace faulty or old garden bags and frames.

    Requirements

    • Current valid manual driver’s licence (car class)—no truck licence required.
    • Good driving record and ability to drive safely and courteously.
    • Physically fit and able to handle repetitive manual tasks such as movin green waste bags with trolley.
    • Strong time management skills and reliability to complete routes on time.
    • Able to work independently and responsibly.
    • Friendly and presentable with good communication skills.

    Desirable

    • Experience in waste collection, delivery driving, or outdoor labouring is advantageous but not required.
    • Familiarity with North Brisbane and surrounding areas.
    • General mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle care, but not required.

  • Voice Picker

    Job Type: Casual/Vacation

    Salary: $36 – $37 per hour

    All respective candidates should have a minimum 1 year of voice picking and Tugger driving experience to be successful.

    Role Details:

    • Multiple 6am-2pm & 3pm-11pm roles available
      • Must be able to commit to OT (5am starts & 12pm finishes)
    • Pay rates ranging from between $36-37/hr
    • Ongoing roles with a view to permanency for the right candidate
    • Overtime is available and required during busy periods, including weekend work.

    All perspective candidates should:

    • Have 1 year of Tugger Driving and Voice Picking experience – MINIMUM (Crown Tugger experience highly preferred)
    • Be available to commit to Monday-Friday.
    • Be comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting of up to 20kg
    • Be able to keep up with KPIs
    • Have a track record for excellent attendance and punctuality!

    Your role: 
    As an Army Driver in the Australian Defence Force, you’ll play a pivotal role in the operation and management of sophisticated military vehicles in all conditions, over all kinds of terrain. You’ll be responsible for transporting cargo, personnel and dangerous goods to support training and operations in Australia and overseas.
