  • Local Van Driver

    Description

    Follow Mont Transport are looking for a highly motived Van Driver to join our Emerald pickup and delivery team. This Full-Time role would suit a customer focused and self-driven operator looking to kick start their career within the transport industry.

    The Job:

    • Full Time Permanent Position
    • Monday to Friday | 7:00am Starts
    • Transporting a high amount of general freight with pick-up’s and deliveries within the Emerald area
    • Manually load and unload parcel freight from the van
    • Completing daily vehicle inspections and necessary paperwork including pre-start checks as well as filling out run sheets, PODs and logbooks

    About the role

    As the Kennards Hire representative to our customers, we support you with the training and development you need to be successful in your role. The Customer Service / Driver is the critical link between a Kennards Hire branch, our customers and their projects, big or small. You’ll be in charge of everything that makes our customers’ job easy; expert advice, pickups, deliveries and making sure our equipment is ready for hire.


    This role requires you to;

    • Instruct and demonstrate to customers on how to safely use our equipment.
    • As the Driver, perform pickup and delivery of equipment from customer sites, which includes safely loading and unloading of equipment
    • Provide exceptional customer service in all customer interactions
    • Maintain the high standard and quality of equipment through regular servicing and minor repairs.
    • Perform cleaning of branch facilities and maintenance of equipment as required
    • Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections

    About you

    • Successful applicants have come from various backgrounds such as; Customer service, building & construction, hospitality, retail, driver, landscaping, trade & maintenance.
    • A valid driver’s licence
    • The availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
    • This role requires some physical components including lifting and standing on your feet for long periods. A level of physical fitness is required and the ability to pass a drug test
    • Strong communication skills
    • Be proactive and keen to learn new skills
    • An interest in machinery and equipment, although training will be provided
    • A positive attitude and team player

  • Deliver Driver

    Description:

    Job Types: Full-time, Subcontract, Casual, Freelance

    Pay: $25.00 – $75.00 per hour

    On-Demand Delivery Driver (Independent Contractor) – Brisbane

    • $100 bonus for a full 12-hr shift (complete the shift and get awarded $100)

    What you’ll run
    Small, items delivery to residential addresses and offices. Orders ping to your phone; you head out, deliver, take picture of delivery, done.

  • Waste Collection Truck Driver

    Essential Service Role:
    Operate rear/side-lift waste collection vehicles for Brisbane City Council and private contractors, servicing residential and commercial routes across the metro area.

    Compensation Package:

    • Monthly Earnings: 7,200−7,200−8,800 AUD
      • Base Rate: 34−34−42/hr
      • Early Shift Allowance: +$3.50/hr for 4am starts
      • Overtime: 1.5x after 7.6hrs (common during summer peak)
