Salary: $31.73 per hour minimum rate
About us
Family-owned business based in Sunbury looking for a punctual, reliable delivery driver for 4 days per week for immediate start.
We deliver dairy products locally, CBD, western & northern suburbs.
4 shifts per week 3am – 1pm – Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
We pay under the Road Transport Award Grade 2
Penalty rates are paid for early start
There is potential for a full-time position for the right candidate.
Qualifications & experience
- Experience in delivery or distribution is a bonus but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Must hold current car driver’s license
Skills Required
- Time Management ~ Ability to plan routes efficiently and stick to delivery schedules
- Reliability & Punctuality ~ Shows up on time and completes deliveries as expected.
- Navigation Skills ~ Confident using maps, GPS and understanding delivery routes.
- Customer Service ~ Friendly and professional when dealing with customers.
- Physical Fitness ~ Capable of lifting and handling dairy products safely.
- Attention to Detail ~ Ensures the correct products are delivered to the right customer.
- Basic Record Keeping ~ Able to complete delivery dockets if adjustments/credits are required.
- Problem Solving ~ Handles unexpected issues such as traffic delays, missing stock or access problems calmly and effectively.
- Safe Driving Practices ~ Follows all road rules and safety guidelines.
- Team Communication ~ Keeps in touch with the office or distribution manager as needed throughout your shift.
