About the role

SHV Wholesalers is seeking a full-time Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team based in North Hobart, TAS. As our Delivery Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods to our valued customers in Hobart.

What you’ll be doing

• Picking and packing customer orders
• Team work
• Driving a medium rigid truck
• Safely driving a medium rigid truck to transport goods to various locations
• Adhering to delivery schedules and routes to ensure prompt arrival at customer sites
• Carefully loading, unloading and securing goods during transportation
• Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with customers
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and any issues that may arise
• Complying with all relevant road traffic laws and company policies and procedures

What we’re looking for

• A current, valid medium rigid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good team work
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
• Familiarity with the local area and knowledge of the best routes
