  • Courier Driver

    About the Role

    Based out of our Wagga depot, you’ll be responsible for the pickup and delivery of goods throughout the Lockhart and Federation Shires — anything from small parcels to full pallets. You’ll operate both an MR truck and van across two morning runs and two afternoon runs each week (Monday to Thursday).

    About the Role

    Key Responsibilities

    • Safely deliver groceries to customers throughout the Southern Highlands region

    The successful applicant should:

    • Open car license with the intention to apply for a truck license in the future
    • Have MR Truck license or higher is preferred
    • Have delivery or truck driving experience
    • Be willing to drive long distance to either Airlie Beach or Cairns
    • Be able to complete logs and reports as required
    • Be able to manually load and unload the products
    • Must be able to manually lift up to 25kg

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience as a delivery driver with excellent customer relationship skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and courteous when dealing with difficult customers
    • Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
    • Shift starts between 5.00am to 7.00am

  • Funeral Home Transfer Driver 

    Job Type: Casual/Vacation

    So what is the role, exactly?
    Your day-to-day would involve: 

    • Transfer of deceased persons from the place of passing to mortuary facilities. Collection locations will include hospitals, private homes, aged care facilities and other public locations
    • Work and communicate regularly with the health care staff, police and coronial staff to facilitate the transfers, also effectively and compassionately communicating with the family of the deceased
    • Manually handle the deceased, often placing them, caringly and reverently, onto transfer stretchers and then transporting them in a van to the respective destination
    • Safely orchestrate and manoeuvre locations that have stairs, limited access and complicated extractions (training, tools and aids are provided); manual lift of the deceased is required in a number of circumstances – the successful applicant will be fit and able to complete this lifting task with their 2nd team member
    • Uphold and maintain a reverent, caring and respectful approach and manner in every aspect of their role and tasks
    • Understand that their role can involve confronting scenes and circumstances
    • Work in an on-call capacity, completing their tasks within agreed response timeframes
    • Can work as a team – our Drivers work in pairs.

    What you’ll be doing

    1. Picking up and delivering packages and parcels to businesses in a safe, timely and efficient manner
    2. Maintaining accurate records of all deliveries, including obtaining signatures
    3. Ensuring the secure transportation of all goods in your care
    4. Providing excellent customer service and liaising with clients as needed
    5. Performing routine vehicle inspections to keep your delivery vehicle in top condition
    6. Working collaboratively with the broader logistics team to meet daily delivery targets

    7. Leaving from Kunda Park, Sunshine Coast to Brisbane and return daily
