You will be responsible for transporting perishable goods from our warehouse to various destinations, ensuring they arrive in good condition and on time.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

· An open drivers licence

· Experience in driving refrigerated trucks or similar vehicles (preferred but not essential)

· A good knowledge of road safety and traffic rules

· A positive attitude and excellent customer service skills

· A willingness to work 40 hours a week plus overtime as required

· A flexibility to work on weekdays only, no weekends or public holidays

Post Express’ is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Delivery Courier to join our team in Perth. As a Delivery Courier, you will be responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of parcels and packages to customers throughout the metropolitan area. This is a full-time role that requires you to work regular hours, with the potential for some overtime as needed.

What you’ll be doing

• Pick up packages from our distribution center and plan the most efficient delivery route
• Carefully handle and transport all packages to ensure they arrive in perfect condition
• Communicate with customers to provide delivery updates and handle any special requests
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including signatures and delivery times
• Provide excellent customer service and represent Post Express’ in a professional manner
• Comply with all relevant safety and traffic regulations

What we’re looking for

• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience working as a delivery courier or in a similar logistics role
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and independently
• Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy packages
• Knowledge of the local area and traffic conditions

About the role

• Safely loading your truck with freight for your deliveries at the facility
• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check
• Driving our MR trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and adhoc pick-ups
• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups

You’ll also need to

• Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Hold a medium rigid vehicle license
• Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights, frequently in and out of a truck.
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
• You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
