Special Needs School Bus Driver

Community-Focused Transport Role:
Safely transport students with disabilities using adapted vehicles across Adelaide’s metropolitan area.

Salary Structure:

• Monthly Earnings: 4,800−4,800−5,600 AUD
  • Base Pay: 28−28−32/hr
  • Qualifications Allowance: +$2.50/hr for certs
  • Term-Time Bonus: $500 per completed term
• Schedule:
  • School hours only (6:30-9am & 2:30-5pm)
  • Paid admin time between runs

Special Requirements:

• Certifications:
  • First Aid + Epilepsy Management
  • Disability Support Worker cert (or willingness to obtain)
  • Child Safe Environments training
• Vehicle Skills:
  • Operation of wheelchair lifts
  • Specialised restraint systems
• Personal Attributes:
  • Patience and empathy
  • Crisis de-escalation skills
